Project Officer – New Galloway Town Hall Renovations 

15 hours per week (flexible) at £20 per hour. Fixed term 9 months.

We have a vacancy for a freelance Project Officer who will work closely with our trustees to oversee the renovation of New Galloway’s historic Town Hall, to ensure it is a user-friendly, accessible community asset fit for the future.  


Events, Activities and Inclusion Manager      

20 hours per week (flexible) at £17 per hour. Fixed term 2 years.

We have a vacancy for a freelance Events, Activities and Inclusion Manager to develop and deliver our ‘People, Places and Outdoor Spaces’ initiative, with the aim of expanding our capacity to promote health and well-being in New Galloway and Kells Parish and the surrounding Glenkens area.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to local people, organising events and activities in our historic Town Hall and outside in our woodland and walled garden projects. Creating and supporting opportunities for people to connect and improve health and wellbeing, you will also be offering extra support to those who are vulnerable, or are facing particular challenges, to access these opportunities, working alongside other local organisations towards a more resilient and inclusive community.


Youth Activity and Development Worker                                       

9 hours per week (flexible) at £12-£15 per hour, dependent on experience. Fixed term 1 year. Closing date 18th April 2022

We have a vacancy for a freelance Youth Activity and Development Worker to develop and deliver opportunities for young people in the Glenkens area, working closely with partner organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people with a particular focus on providing sports, outdoor and social opportunities. By actively and creatively engaging with young people across the area, you will play a lead role in establishing a comprehensive and inclusive youth provision that helps young people increase their confidence and skills and addresses some of the challenges of living in a rural area.
